More than a place to shop...

Tucked away from the busy streets our enchanting garden feels like a gentle exhale from the noise of the world. A white wooden arch decorated with pink hearts, slightly weathered by the seasons, opens into a space to talk, sit, find peace, shop or just...breathe. Bees hum lazily between blossoms, and chairs, benches and tables offer spaces to take refuge.
Nestled within this garden and our offices and treatment centre is our charity shop our mended heart sign which you can see everywhere reflects its mission: supporting survivors of sexual violence with dignity, compassion, and practical care. The shop is thoughtfully arranged with donated books, clothes, toys, new clothing items from Truworths - a much appreciated supporter - and SO much more!
Inside, the atmosphere is intentionally welcoming and survivor-centered. Volunteers greet visitors gently, never intrusively, offering help while respecting personal space. Information about confidential helplines and counseling resources is available discreetly.
There are quiet spaces just outside with tables and chairs where people can sit, reflect, or simply breathe.
Every detail, from the soft lighting to the inclusive signage, communicates the same message: you are safe here, you are believed, and you are not alone.
As afternoon light filters through the trees, the garden and the shop together form more than a place of commerce. They create a sanctuary—one that blends beauty with purpose, and gentleness with strength.
